SOF Optoelectronics GmbH was newly found in 2001. The place of location is Eschweiler, a city with optimum infra structure in the border triangle of Belgium, Netherlands and Germany, in the neighborhood of the University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen) and the Research Center in Juelich (FZ-Jülich). In the middle of the year 2010 SOF Optoelectronics GmbH was renamed to SOF Equipment GmbH.
SOF engineers are looking back on a long history in sophisticated furnace design, manufacturing and set-up. Our technology experts offer unique competence to implement new technological ideas, to find excellent solutions of heat-treatment problems in customers R&D and manufacturing applications. SOF is specialized in specific thermal processing of the semiconductor-related industry with its high requirements on clean environment and low contamination of treated goods.
SOF heat treatment systems are in use worldwide in small companies and institutes as well as huge industry lines with high reliability and excellent performance.

Kick-off Meeting European project NATUREEF On the 24th and 25th of February 2016, the kick-off meeting for the European cluster excellence project NATUREEF took place.
